exile life tap good yes

but honestly if you on budget you can go with zaka or any @res shield

draculs u get life tap too or just use wand

Pretty much the only thing that is essential other than like CB. You’d be surprised what garbage you can clear ut with.

Hoz better

zaka is far more than what you need.
dracul gloves for lt and if you really feel unsafe use lt wand on switch

If you can afford an Up'd HoZ, it would be worth buying over a normal HoZ. If you have an HoZ already on ladder or single player, upgrading it will yield you more damage. With enough attack speed, Drac's + a level 5 or 6 life tap wand would be enough. Just make sure to have some crushing blow and open wounds. There are only a few other shields with better damage than the Up'd HoZ. A Rare Kurast/Zakarum shield with +2 skill, deflecting mod, 65/121 Knight's mod with 2 sockets, JSToD with 65/121 Knight's mod and then a JSToD with +45 resist mod. Well I guess those three last shield could be a ST, SR, Kurast or Zakarum base. Those three shields are way too expensive for a Uber Smiter and really only used during PvP.
