So I am currently doing a concentrate barb which is SPEAR ONLY. Only thing is that I dunno which spear gives out the higher dps and a google search gave me nothing to get smarter.
Does anyone have any intel to which spear is the "best" dps-wise. I feel like the pike has a massive dmg outburst but I like the consistency in hitting more than once every 10 sec.

Pretty new to this concept - currently only in act 2 normal at around lvl 22 and I feel like I should have a better idea about which weapons to gamble.

Yeah, that is pretty much the dream xD But does that mean, that the "pikes" are the best dps wise? I am not sure.

Played with an obedience tresher barb and it worked really good.

Imo every elite polearm / spear works very well with different runewords

Just get through nm / hell and try around different types and runewords in different situations. U will see with wich one ur going best :-)

Alright. Sounds like a blast! Although I wanna limit myself to spears only and not polearms since you can craft some very powerful ones early on in the game, which I dont wanna abuse. Thanks for the feedback though =)

You could make fort in one

it works fine too as a throw/frenzy (combo) barb with non eth rare throw spears with high ed

Ghost spear?

Those would be the javelin type of weapon. The idea is to just use 2handed spears and not use any other class weapons to limit the progression of my weapon. I know - sadistic.

Elite is based between ghost spear and war pike

Ghost spear has more base attack speed (high dex req)
War pike has a higher average damage

The arguement between the 2 is negotiable
