Hi d2jsp community!
First of all I am excited to be part of this interesting community and watching the absolutely exceptional WTs that are on this forum!
I myself am thinking about making a WT for the public to see, but I am still theorycrafting a bit. Personally I like the non-cookie cutter
builds and I like trying some unorthodox things.
Thing is that I have been thinking about making a Rabies/fury druid. Rabies would be the main ability and I will therefore try and gear
to maximize the damage output of this particular ability (with a switch weapon for fury). Fury will be strictly secondary after applying
rabies and should be considered a supporting ability to help kill bosses.
I have earlier run a rabies/summoner hybrid which made really good sense in clearing areas up towards bosses (and did really decent
dps with good control) but I had trouble maintaining enough dps at bosses and difficulty defeating them - hence the fury support instead.
I have heard that the Rabies ability might crash games when applied - this have not been happening with the druid I ran til mid-nightmare.
Maybe a concern of the past with shitty PCs and Bnet?
skillswise I am thinking something like:
20 rabies
20 psn creeper
20 fury
20 oak sage
10-20 werewolf
I am thinking that I need enough points in werewolf to secure hits with rabies and fury. I might shift some talents from oaksage to were-
wolf depending on the survivability of the char.
The gearing theory is not set yet, but I wanna build a melee char with some nice +skills items to ensure high dmg with rabies. Maybe hoto+
spirit shield when applying rabies and then switch weapon for the fury attack. Will ofc give me trouble when I have to have CTA for BO, but
that is a looooooong game if I even get there.
Have anyone tried a Rabiesdruid for PvM or would anyone with an interest in druids be willing to go into a dialogue?
