Hello fellow nerds. I’m thinking about doing my first ever walkthrough on a build I’ve never tried before so I’m looking for a little advise.

The end game goal would be a frenzy barb with a grief in one hand and.....something in the other.

However, the majority of the walkthrough will be played as a berserk barbarian and that’s where I need some tips. I’ve never played a berserk barb so I don’t know the order to max skills or the best weapon type to use for this particular build.

I believe the playstyle goes something like —engage—howl or warcry the mobs—smash the skulls of the dangerous ones first and reapply warcry stun as needed. Sound about right? Seems fun

Any tips on skill maxing order or gear types to look out for would be appreciated!

My thought process with this build is that berserk is a lot less gear dependent than frenzy so I’ll play berserk until I feel I have enough quality gear to switch to frenzy, unless of course I end up enjoying berserk enough then I’d just stick with that.

This will be on hardcore P8 of course. Ladder runewords will be enabled via text file but no plugy so I’ll use the standard stash.

Berserk makes your defense go zero. so have good resist and dodge missile attacks. that's all i know. gl.

The missiles I believe are to be avoided by some taunting. Like - don’t berserk a mob when there’s a pack of fanat extra strong archers in range, taunt the archers to melee range first while my defense is high then warcry them then berserk them down.
