First off, I love poison nova's. They are just so fun. Ever since my first WT with one, I just started loving them.

Necro:
Pros: They don't need much gear to clear mobs. They are very safe with their army, whether it be with skeles, revives, golems, etc. In addition to decr for bosses. No poison immune in pits in hell. Don't need much FCR because of how poison damage works.
Cons: Hard to control revives and keep them alive without teleport. Boss runs can take forever on /p8. There are 3 other necromancers at the moment in the contest, which kind of makes it boring. I believe 3/4 are poison as well..

Assassin:
Pro: Super fast early game with fire traps, easy to respec into light traps and then start kick. (IMO) gear is minimal for boss runs with CB (easy craft) to start. Teleport skill on attack. Fairly safe with CoS, fade (if needed), shadow, and merc. Damage is mostly from boots with kicks.
Cons: I don't know much about kickers. Light immune will definitely be a problem in hell pits/late nm. How does kick damage work...? Have to be in close quarters combat (melee range).

What do you guys think. Pick an option, let me know below what you pick and why :)

I'd stick to the Necro. This is an insanely old game, play what you find to be fun. By the looks of it - the Necro.

Hybrid assa is very fun to play imo.

All necro builds are the same, kill 1 monster and spam CE, very boring.

I would go for assa!

I obviously kicked kicksin since I’ve never had as much fun with a build. Very active play, with a lot of skills to use and a lot of decisionmaking when engaging mobs. Depending on the order you max skills in, she can suffer a bit in early hell farming, becomes dependent on items (like any melee) and trap damage, but it’s worth it once you reach LK.

There’s a list of modifiers that don’t work with kick (*damage, min/max, ed from weapon, deadly strike for example), but flat elemental damage works well since it’s applied to every kick that lands, and the amount of cb/other procs is ridiculous :thumbsup:

Also, lightning immunes aren’t too much of a problem tbh, since your have physical (and possibly elemental) damage from kicks and fire/physical from Death Sentries
