Awaiting the next reset I decided to take a test run and started two weeks ago. I named her TestAssa and played untwinkled EU SC Ladder. I only had time to play her like an hour every other day or so. This is her short story:
Fire traps until NM Andy, then respec to lightning and rushing trough NM the usual way. Got my 4OS Long Sword for Spirit, and a +2 traps amulet dropped on me. I found both the Tarnhelm and the Sazabi's Basinet, that i swapped whether I needed MF or resists. Stashed two MF rings and an amulet that I swapped in before boss kills. Got a Nightsmoke belt that I upgraded, and a Raven Frost dropped from NM Baal. Merc had an Eth Insight Bill, Hawkmail and Wormskull. Then I started Hell at level 51, way too early. But I wanted the Den for a free skill point. Then a white Monarch dropped in my very first Den run, and I Larzuked it and built Spirit. Never ever have a Monarch dropped this early for me. Once I hit 54 I respecced to equip it, and maxed fire blast and then the lightning traps. Found a Lem somewhere in act 1 hell, and build a Treachery. Now I had +9 to traps and had a great way to handle LI's with 1,5K fireblast damage and an amazing trap speed. This enabled me to work my way trough hell and today I beat Hell Baal at level 81.
Black Souls and other nasty LI's was handled with one Cloak of Shadows, one Death Sentry, and then spamming fire blasts. This was one of the most fun boulds I have had ever, and will surely take this effort when the ladder resets in a few weeks. But I fear it will take quite a few Den runs to get that Monarch that is the turning point of this build.
