If I add the ladder rune word text in the middle of a walkthrough will I end up losing the character and having to restart?

no, you can even fail at making a ladder only runeword, throw the .txt file in the correct folder and it'll become the correct runeword.

If you take out the txt, it will become a non runeword again, and if you put it back, will it reroll the item? Hmmmmm seeems cheaty

For some reason I doubt it rerolls it but also for some reason I think it might lol

Tried it. When you remove the .txt it stays a runeword
