Because it is something I have never tried before, if I were to socket a wizendraw with a shael and then upgrade it with the cube recipe later on when I get a perfect emerald made, would the resulting new version of the wizendraw consume the socket and shael or does that carry over? It feels like it should but I can't be too sure when it comes to how old this game is. I intend to double upgrade the wizendraw since it's a pretty godly weapon so far for the build I am using to get through the game after restarting.

The socket and whatever you used in it will carry over once upgraded.
