In order for thresher/giant thresher to be worth it, you need to have 15% ias jewel in an andys helm on the merc. If you wont have enough socket quests to socket the helm, what's the next best weapon/armor/helm combo and best base for a merc weapon for infinity on a javazon?

CV: avg dmg: 91, 3,84 aps
Thresher: avg dmg: 76,5, 4,16 aps
GT: avg dmg: 77, 4,16 aps
CA: avg dmg: 91,5, 3,84 aps

Since Infinity has 40 CB, I do prefer faster weapons. Max plain dmg would be with a Cryptic Axe.

With Thresher and GT you could use Treachery (45 ias) and Guillaumes and even hit the 42ias bp (still 4,16 aps) -> more CB but not leech then.

Thresher is faster but if you aren't hitting the BP then it's irrelevant...

I have a nice treach on my merc already, if I went CA, would it be smarter to go Andys/Guill or gaze? I can't find any info on this stuff... If I was on b.net I'd just rush norm and socket lol, this has to be the dumbest issue I've ran in to on SP

Is it even an issue?
Just do the infy in any elite eth base. The only ptoblem with CV is the str req sometimes. Otherwise you wont see any difference in practice.. :)

Yes you do. Even if the difference seems marginal, more aps can be really nice in combination with CB in boss fights.
If you only need the aura you might aswell socket a Partizan. If you want the best you invest some more time to find an eth Thresher or Giant Thresher.

So u see a big difference between CV/thresher/CA/GT/GP? Maybe if you are only using ur merc and he needs 100 hits to kill a boss himself...
