I have started a WT adventure with summoning necromancer, now just killed Diablo and need some advice on what build should I follow and what items are best to use.
Currently level 31 with decent resists and @ 450 life, 25 Raise Skeleton and 17 Skeleton Mastery. Have 1 Clay Golem and just it. Nothing else added and don't really know where should I spend my skill points after will max Skeleton Mastery. I can summon 10 skeletons and 1 golem but this one is very weak, is vanishing in few seconds against Diablo. Probably won't try it again as it took quite long to kill especially because merc is dying very fast.

Any advice is welcome, share any that could help me go further in a safety way. Thanks!

Never done a summon, but this is what I’d think

1 point Teeth
1 point Corpse Explosion
1 point into needed curses (Decrepify and Amp)
20 Skeleton
20 skeleton mastery
5 (?) Golem maybe iron golem for max auras
5(?) Golem mastery
1 Summon resist
1 point into revive for more tanks and CB from maulers (op)
1 bone armor
Rest into bone armor synergy (scales better than hard points into bone armor)

Someone may add or change this, but this is what I’d think

use clay golem + decrepify for bosses and you will never lose

so 1 point amp and decrep+prereq

after maxing skells and mastery and 1 into mages/revives/clay/golem mastery go to corpse explosion... mages arent worth more than 1 point into

clay golem slow+decrep on baal u will see how its OP

By the way on what level should i move to NM?

Whenever.. I usually go NM early because the exp is good so usually around early to mid 40

Id say basically this but i like revives> golem+golem mastery

I guess will go at 40 then, not feeling so confident at the moment.

Need to make some changes on gear, pretty hard on NM and need more resists and of course more life.
Also need to think what to equip merc with for more life leech and damage.

Craft a blood helm for merc for some basic LL
You should also have lifetap, you can use that for certain scenarios

If you're getting hit, you're playing a summoner wrong. Gear isn't important.
Make use of resummoning golem and decripify for the enemies coming at you. Consider getting an item with tele charges.

20 CE
1 amp
1 decrepify
1 revive ( with the +skills you'll have more then enough revives and contently struggle to keep them all up)
1 sumon res
rest in attract

its very impotent to have a good merc with alot dmg and or crushing blow.
you AMP everything, merc kills 1 thing CE kills everything else.
if your merc can't one shot things, and you find yourself waiting to click CE, cast attract on one of the monsters.

fire gloom might help because its fire aura attracts monsters and big giant packs are very good for necro.
mages sorta suck, but you'll find that if you dont max them you have 20 exrta skills and their no point in maxing anything
they do do dmg... have fun only summoning mages and see that they do do dmg.
they might be the last thing you lvl up.


as for killing D in norm... you f'ed up and didnt put a point into sum res.
but even with that norm D is a bit of a bitch for necro... mostly because your merc has no crushing blow....
you'll probably end up having to rebuild the army + re-hire merc 3 times before killing norm D
