Hey East!

Recently came back to d2 after a few years as I seem to always do. Started building up a frenzy barb as I'm just looking to get some basic PVM builds out of the way.

I currently have the choice between 4 weapons and just wondering what you guys think is the best combo.

At the moment I'm running with a ebotdz and a beastz. In my stash I've got a doomz and a griefz on standby.

I have a feeling the stats from the Grief are going to benefit me more than the Beast. Even though the beast is putting out a higher base dmg on frenzy. Would be worth noting I would like to be able to solo hell, and not sure I can afford a Faith for A1 merc. Currently running with no merc at lvl 80.

As for the rest of my gear I'm using it is as follows

-Arreats 1os (Thinking Ber)
-Highlords
-Fortitude Balrog Skin (Looking for something better) Treachery maybe?
-2x Ravens 237 AR
-Dungos
-Dracs
-Gores

My weapon switch is a CTA and 3WC Crystal Sword.

Grief + Grief > All

LoH over dracs

enigma (you hit 63bp on tele switch easily. Many good options)
dual grief
No idea why people use dual ravens... Way better to have one rare ring with ml/ll/ar/str/dex etc (but ML from somewhere is needed for smoothnes)
LOH > dracs any day for frenzy
SOE > dungos any day for frenzy

Merc with fast attack speed and reapers will be great

Just wondering, maybe my Grief is just crap but do I not want at least one weapon with a high base dmg?

Before the 400 dmg mod my grief is like 24-71 base dmg, assuming this is normal for Grief but again been away for long enough that I'm not sure.

I've also read some threads that say LW PBs are the way to go for frenzy.

I've got a AP Nigma on my sorc right now which I will bring to the barb as soon as I get the runes for a CoH.

I'll start looking for a LoH and SoE.

24-71 base means it’s 424-471 after including the +damage, much better that BotD

AH! That makes much more sense, didn't realize it added to min damage as well. Thank you sir!

It’s a bit more complicated than what I said, but hat’s pretty much the damage range you get. Grief is an amazing weapon.
