I been a fan of this section for quite a while.
Did a few WT hardcore P8 of my own and always been super fun.

I don't see many WT that ban the use of Runeword and it got me thinking why are 90% of the topic here using Runeword in their WT?

This part of the forum are mainly for hardcore P8 player looking for a big challenge and Runeword/pluggy just seems like something that doesn't really fit with the whole idea?

Looking to start a P8 hardcore / no pluggy or Runeword so I'm kinda interested in knowing what you guys think about it

Not too big of a deal depending on char but sure may give some challenge and that's what sp hc p8 is about! (lmao plugy)

Its like classic but easier

Obtaining highend runewords is not easy but vanilla WT have been done

Seen quite a few magic only/rare only WTs. Don’t know if i saw any completed on p8. I’m a noob so I like PlugY :) it’s more for a trophy collection for me more than anything else.

Most WTs ban stuff that isn't part of the actual game -- such as extended stash, free restats, etc. Since Runewords are really a built-in thing since the release of LOD, most people don't see the need to ban them.

But indeed, banning runewords can make the WT way more challenging, especially at lower-mid level. It's definitely a good idea if you want your WT to be more challenging.

Just noticed while doing my run that there are actual rune/runeword in single player.
For some reason i tought there was Non-ladder / Ladder runeword and that single player had no Runeword at all.

I guess i'll use Runeword since it's actually part of the game but i won't use Ladder runeword.
Dunno why so many people use Lad runeword in SP tho.

Because playing without Spirit sucks.

Remember that non-ladder can get all of those runewords by trading with characters that come from Ladder. The runewords do exist; they just can't be created in non-ladder.

I remember the first ladder reset, all my mules were full of Spirits. I traded them for SoJs.
