After trying (and failing numerous times) to get a HC P8 character all the way through the game I got a Barb through - my sorceress found most of his items though, so now it's time for a real challenge.. I've tried HC P8 Sorc and died twice (Act 1 NM and Hell). So maybe a druid is a more sensible idea.. My last Paladin who tried this (self found items) died at level 87 :'(.

I'd like to do this 'properly', I'll be using Plugy for extended stash and ladder runewords (respect to anyone who doesn't!), here's the rules I'm setting:

- P8 for questing through the game
- Kill every moster! (this is going to get hard for physical immunes in Hell - any advice?)
- Get every WP


Aims:
Don't die
Kill Hell Baal
Try and get some kind of not awful killing speed (crescent moon runeword maybe?).

I don't know what build I'm going to go for.. let's see how this goes.





This village seems ot have a very strange concept of friendship..


Next I'm off to save some old dude trapped in a cage, Akara said she'd give me a ring this time, rather than having to pull one from the fingers from a dead zombie!



In other news - killing every monster I pass in P8 means I'm very high level for my area, combined with finding all WPs I'm killing a huge proportion of monsters in each zone.

Best of luck, if your pure goal is to defeat Hell Baal may I suggest going for an easier more "standard" char?
Summon Necro / Hammerdin for example. 8)

But a challenge is always fun, and I'll be following yours.

Yes please! Black marsh seemed to be full of pelts! I ran countess 15 times looking for tal+eth, got 6 Tal.. no Eth. Will Cube in A2.

That actually is a good helm. If it had 2 sockets then it could go far into NM as a Lore.

I know, such a shame - wouldn't be surprised if I use it all the way through Normal difficulty though!

<3! I did about 30 Andy runs, this was by far the best - #3 - I think the game was trying to tell me something :D.

Very happy to land these - with Hsaru's belt tey give me +60to life, before transformation!


Crushflange dropped about 15runs later. Shame it's slow, great for fire res/bosses though


Andariel barely dropped anything apart from Hsarus, Bloodfist, and crushflange. I did get a tonne of chipped gems though, gambled a pike and gave my merc a 'TAL TAL' 2 sockets magic pike that I cubed. I'm using an 'Ith Ith' 2 sockets +7to max damage crystal sword. Thoroughly bored with grinding Andy I advanced to Act2 - summoned wolves still doing a great job. Above is y second amazing low level druid pelt.. shame it's for the wrong type of Dudu..

That helm would be a sick lore base for an elemental druid!

Shooting through Act2 fast, got a prayer merc to keep my dogs alive. Used chipped gems I had been saving to make him a gambled pike 'TalTal' for damage.


Used the horodric staff for a bit for speed.


Me and the dogs taking on duriel, fight was fine, had to resummon wolves a bit, went to town for mana pots once.

I'm waiting on skills as I don't want to 'waste' my reset.. my wolves are doing a lot of the damage currently, maybe I should just go fully into summoning until I can start finding recent weapons in nightmare, then use Akara's reset? What do people think? A 'Lore' helm and spirit sword would go a long way to improving my damage with +to summon wolves and +levels on heart of the wolverine aura..

I thought P8 Travi would be a lot harder than it was, I am having to re-summon my wolves a lot more regularly against harder monsters now though.


I'm level 29 now - on to Mephisto! I wonder how my damage and wolves will be here.. When I hit level 30 I will have 10 unspent stats and 5 unspent skills, stats are for an item dropping that I need to use.. skills are because I don't know what to do with them!
