When does a bear become a bear?

Well, I remember this storybook being read to me as a small child:

So which is the bear and which is the shapechanger?

Yup, BoBoBear found a cub when he was very young. He loved the bear cub and fed him maple cups. Eventually the cub grew into a huge bear and fed on maple syrup from the storerooms:

Yeah, it's the same old story, Boy finds Bear. Boy falls in love with Bear. Boy has to get rid of Bear. We hear it all the time.
But this story diverges a bit. The boy learns to speak to the bear and then he learns about the way bears live and kill. The amazing part
is when he finds out how to change into a bear. I cannot divulge BoBoBear's secrets, trust me, he finds a way.

Well, I can tell you how he gets the name BoBo. Olf farmer Applehead was picking apples and BoBo hide behind a old stump and decided to give Mr Applehead a little scare:

After that, BoBoBear realized he needed to leave home himself or get shot full of arrows next time he was seen. So he traveled to a land called
Bloodmoor.

He met some more shapechanging folk and he learned more about his true self. He was a Titan FireClaw Bear.

1) P8 (countess P1 optional)
2) All points in strength except points to allow wep req.
3) Kill Hell Baal and do all quests.
4) No extended stash.
5) No third party programs.
6) Ladder runewords enabled.
7) in honor of Daddycool, no oak sage.

BoBoBear is very inexperienced and his first mentor, Daddycool, has recently died so he welcomes all advice. Gheed's advice was to poop outside the rogue camp.

And so it begins:

BoboBear's first real kill:

So he goes out to find a good place to poop and there were all these carvers around and quillrats. One dropped this:

He gets a bit of Bloodlust and works his way all the way to this bloodraven lady. Nasty but manageable. He then finds this ring in a nearby crypt:

It's okay and it's still on his finger. He's found a decent large axe of readiness. Seems fast.

Then he gambles the wrong type of axe thinking it's large but it's broad and kind of slow:

Think the bears tell him to find faster weps. Oh well, it isn't bad. He maul's Griswold:

So on the way to Countess, this girl with arrows hurts bad, need to watch for LE on this build. So close to death.
Little Tonya kept shooting arrows as BoBoBear just managed to escape and refill the pots. Countess was much easier
and actually died way too fast for me to get ss. Here is quest drop:

These Titan builds are not easy.

Good luck ;)

Duriel will be your first real challenge i think, be sure you have 1 point to Spirit Wolf added so Duriel wont be so intrested about you. As skill advice, put your points to Lycant untill can add Fire Claw. 1 Werebear and Maul as start is enough. 1 point to Shock Wave is also recommended, great stun skill vs basic Mob back. When have acces to Grizzly, take it to your " meetwall ". Around 100 dex is nice amount w/o EQ and rest to Str.

I hope you will do this better than i did, reaching Hell would be damn nice, but that wont be easy :D

e: Also getting Smoke to stack Res would be nice, Steel in Great Axe is nice start weapon and later do Edge to RepeatingCrossbow, if you are not so lucky than i was with Ribcracker.

Yeah, it's tough. So was BamBam tough to do...obviously. I'm learning about bears. They kill fast!

I love Mele characters but with a bit of spice. So the fireclaw is interesting. I'm wondering how to balance fireclaw with bear attacks. Do I work up synergies of fireclaw? and make a enchanting bear? Might be good later on restat. Or is it just for ar? I'm newb. Going slow too. Hope it's entertaining and long lived.

Pretty much following in your bear tracks. I like how you shared the stat and skill allotment. I saw that suggestion of using edge on repeating crossbow, though I'm sort of trying to understand...fast wep (-40). So do lots in fire claw synergy? I need help on how to organize the hotkeys. Do I use hunger eventually? You went incredibly fast in your WT! I guess finding the ribcracker is very fortunate. Steel would be nice in great axe!

Okay, So Bobo (pronounced BooBoo) is proceeding along. As I mentioned, little is known about the Shapechanger business. But if you can see the forest for the trees, you might be able to find the dell and the werepeople partying:

So you might want to look a little harder in the Dark Woods next time you are there. So moving right along:

This guy can be nasty. But BoBo went right for the heart. Titan kills!

However, Andarial is never nice. I had to town too much. I finally put some poison curing in the belt. That helped a lot. I don't do many reruns because she is a bitch. Maybe later. I would say she was the first real test for BoBoBear. (my fingers are always on the wrong buttons!)

Still using large axe and broad axe. Here is the bear poop:

Hadn't even made stealth yet! Probably a mistake. Found wp in dry hills along with 3oc scythe. Went to do countesses for 'malice' runes:

Love that glove! Found so many orts and rals that now there is a thul...but no el!

Some Rando. Next time his name will be Soul Cloud the Ethereal, yeah, right. BoBo has stealth chain mail on but no 'malice' yet. Just getting act wps.
Oh dear, he reverted during battle!

BoBo is inexperienced in shapechanger. Needs to stay in form. This is your innards as you come out of form in mele:

You probably thought that was a screen of death and forget-me-not. Perhaps this will be a short WT. So was doing Rady:

With malice in a scythe, BoBoBear goes questing:

No towns, just fireclaw. Just one point. Trying to figure things out before I commit. Been finding 7-14 life lcs. But light res is horrible.
Using artic belt for cold. NN CE death.
