First of all I hope that you will follow and track this WT and leave comments and so on... I just love this
Well I'm back with a new WT.
I don't have much time to play and since my Nec WT, Loke, requires a lot of game play, this is put on hold while I'm busy studying this winter/spring.
So I started a character which I knew I can progress rather quickly with.
I have pretty much always played close combat characters in PvM, because I find these fun to play and challenging.
However now I've decided to try a ranged character, which in this case is a
Sorceress - I actually started it a month ago when there were almost no Sorc WT's running.
My goals on this character will be somewhat hard to obtain, but I hope I will succeed - I have been much inspired by the farmathons going on now and then, but have not been able to join with any of my characters. If this character goes all the way, it will be my farmer.
Rules: - Hardcore
- 8 player setting enabled
- Reruns allowed
- Ladder rune words enabled via direct.txt
- No extended stash
Goals1. Pretty selfexplanatory - not to die
2. Beat Baal on Hell
3. Farm an Oculus
4. Get the obvious high level rune words, in this case Infinity (main priority) and CtA etc.
5. Get full Tal Rasha
The BuildAs I wrote earlier I started this a month back. I have just killed Baal normal and therefore my progress will start from Act 1 Nightmare. However I do have some S/S that I will upload from my journey through normal.
At the moment she is a fire sorc. I will respec to Blizzard Sorc in hell in order to run Ancient Tunnel and LK. If and when Infinity is obtained I will go Lightning.
The beginning
A small summary of Normal (mainly highlights):
Well on Sorc this core goes rather fast. I bought a 2s 3FB staff from Akara, and made a Leaf runeword (6 FB
) - this carried me all the way to Act 5. I found Nagel 26 MF from Andariel, made a nice Savage Polearm in Act 2 for merc. I made Stealth as well in a BP which in fact I'm still using
. Didn't really find anything here. Act 3 was kinda boring but eventually I got to Mephisto. As always I farmed for Full Sigon and found everything but the armor. Found Amn rune from Travincal as well. I continued and killed Diablo. In the Chaos Sanctuary a Sol rune dropped
and Diablo dropped me Magefists
I quickly carried on to Act 5 and farmed Shenk a few times (from level 32 to level 41 I think). He dropped me tons of Runes (Shael, Dol, Amn, Sol) as well as an eth 4s Poleaxe - and I rolled an Insight, which was a HUGE upgrade. I found an ethereal Broad Sword and cubed this to get 4 sockets luckily and there was my spirit. Progress from here was emmensly easy and I killed Baal by level 45 I think, and continued to level 50 before going Nightmare - I somehow love round numbers
On the way anyother Nagel dropped, now with 28 MF.
