Hi there, returned to d2r after so many years.

I started playing barb ww and had some help on finishing the hell.
Right now I'm having obedience runeword on thresher and don't have any high runes to make dual grief.

It feels like obedience is no dmg on hell. Any suggestion on what should I focus on regarding the weapon?
Is eth botd worth switching until I get/farm griefs?

Also untwinked melee is pain in the ass. Especially Barbs, they can’t shine with shit gear,. Zealot can beat the game with upped Butchers pupil, Fury Dudu - with upped Ribcracker/IK maul/Windhammer. Very common gear, but babas are really gear dependant
You have to grind a lot to be viable in hell

Obedience is a really nice weapon early on. The solid ED, crushing blow, and enchant AR boost. EBOTD will be a big upgrade too if you can afford it, but whenever you upgrade to anything keep the obedience on merc and maybe look for an eth base for a new one for him. Again that CB will help a huge amount farming bosses.

Also look in to Oath runeword for yourself. Very inexpensive. indestruct so use eth base, and duel wielding will do some good damage. Also look in to an A5 frenzy merc have them dual wield lawbringer (decripify proc) and even a crescent moon(static field proc). If youre playing legacy instead of D2r they dont dual wield so just use the lawbringer.

Run this with a zerk setup, over ww. Farm elites, trav, and TZ whenever you are liking the area.

Oath is quite cheap, you should try it. Also, frenzy is beginner friendly, and if you decide to go this route, Lawbringer is a game changer. If you want to stick to WW, give Lawbringer to A5 merc or get Reaper’s for A2 merc.
