Hi, Im going to build a smiter paladin, only smite with like Grief and exile if I get my hands on the runes for these.

One question, do the enhanced damage on my shield do anything good to my smiter? Or is it unnecessary?
Is it better to get a shield without enhanced damage and with better mods like allres, higher block etc?

Res is better for pvm since you also dont need the AR with smite and res is just better defensively obviously. If your pvp dont be using an exile

And for pvm dont be using a smiter

ubers only.

The go with high def high allreas high block elite shield for exile
ED helps but its not much. If you want ed on shield gotta go phoenix.

I have cats eye, black, duress and laying of hands. Is this too much IAS, unnecessary?
I think it saya 100% in stats tab. But I rather switch out the LoH with some res and life gloves

You should read that site that Pixi posted. It says %damage to demons doesn’t help smite dmg. Don’t use LoH gloves. Craft some blood gloves and hope for your dual res w/ 20% ias and good cb

There are so many viable ways to gear a Uber trist smiter: On my offline one I use kiras, blood gloves, duress, marrowwalks (for lifetap), heavens light, rare belt/jewelry with tons of cold/light res, and a full inventory of scrubby life charms. With that setup I just use fanat the entire time.
