I just built my first Javazon and have some questions about gearing.

Gear so far:

Head - 20/22 Griffon
Neck - Cat's eye
Chest - AP enigma
Hand - 2/20 gloves
Fingers - dual leach/ar ring AND Raven frost
Waist - Razortail
Feet - Aldurs
Weapon - noneth upped titans
Off-hand - Phoenix mon
Switch - Wiz spike or CTA(depending on what I'm mfing) AND spirit shield
inventory - anni, torch, gheed, sunder, the rest SCs, enough to hit FHR breakpoint, some with life and resis, a few various max dmg/frw/ar or MF charms.

A2 Merc - etreachery, Andy ral'd, egthresh infinity

complaints

1. Movement speed - compared to other characters she feels slow. I have decent run speed but nothing like barb or paladin I'm used too.

2. Resists Hella low but usually not a big deal if I kill quick enough, just have died a few times and feel that and my life pool are the problem

questions

1. If I am using Phoenix is mana or life leach on gear as necessary?

2. With sunder and infinity is wearing the griffons needed or could I wear something else to boost run walk and resists?

3. Or is having griffons and sunder charm enough that I don't need infinity most of the time like for running cows?

4. Is titans really better than thunderstorms?

5. Is razortail necessary or is there other ways to hit 100% percent so I can wear tgods?

6. Is Java grand charms more valuable than some of my small charms?

7. I feel I had to put way too many hard points into dexterity to reach max block, also necessary?

8. Besides tri res boots, crafted rings or better 2/20 gloves with resists. Any other recommendations? Maybe um in helm instead of Lfacet?

9. Should I give up on wiz spike for the FCR breakpoints to Tele faster for a faith or harmony bow, whatever it is that gives me the vigor? Or if merc doesn't need infinity does it make sense to put that on an A1 merc for the aura?

10. I have found it more annoying to use CTA as I feel I really don't need the BO or want tot are the time to keep re boing on my runs. Anyone agree?

I really just want to move faster when I'm running cow's and such to snatch up all the good loot. I've been spoiled by my horker barb he just feels so fun to play just a lot weaker than the jav.

really with titans cats eye enigma aldurs, you feel slow? i usually think my javazon is a race car

yeah griffons is the bis helmet, since ur not using tstroke its only way to lower enemy res after sunder applies.

sunder helps against lightning immunes u cant break, like deseis or some fucked up lightnign enchanted.

infinity helps with everything else. conviction aura lowers enemy light res by 120 iirc

titans are just qol, for p1-p5 i'd say its fine to use them. for higher pcount i'd go for tstrokes.

for cows titans only.

it is possible to get 100% pierce, but that would cost you a lot of points. because pierce skill has diminishing returns. like lvl10 and lvl 20 is not that big of a difference.

i'd say 70%-80% is fine with tgod

if u play softcore i dont think maxblock is necessary, deffinietly not with monarch shield. i'd rather pump those points in life.

idk i feel like running is dogshit since u have enigma. depends what ur farming. but i would not give up on wiz spike.

if u dont feel like using BO, just dont use it honestly. javazon best defence is to kill everything before it kills u, that simple.

Enigma, cats eye, 40 frw boots really shouldn’t be that slow.. you can get some frw charms if you want. But couldn’t probably afford to get a vigor merc if you really want

Yeah I dont know why i feel slow after playing my barb. Maybe its more the switching actions from tele to stopping to attack and reposition. Other consideration is I'm usually in the middle of the fight with the barb so it's shorter distances to grab good drops. I guess I will have to just deal with it. More +skills to kill faster and just not getting hit. I will respec to get more life I didn't realize max block wasn't necessary so thank you. I got a good build just nitpicking haha

I think you've hit all the usual complaints with java. From here it all comes down to preference and mf spots. You have to really love java to put up with these inconveniences or simple build her for a spot that doesn't require the (very solid) suggestions others have posted.

I'm currently running my HC p8 java on nm terrorized cows exclusively. She wears:
Valk
Twitch
Titans
Lidless
Rwzortail
1/20 gloves
Sanders boots
Raven
Might Mana leach +random ring
Merc random gear, insight, tal helm, duriels shell

She is pretty close to clearing whole screen at lvl 80 in nm terrorized cows (decent life pool). Eventually, with upgrades, shell transition to just hell cows.

I'm enjoying her more than any java I've built, because I'm just sprinting and chucking spears. Although you don't need to take it, I'd suggest not building a java for everything, but building one for something, and make her great at that

that's why you shouldn't tele on switch, especially not on a java that teles a lot inbetween throws

ditch your trash phoenix, put on a spirit monarch and tstrokes (or titans). either way, make sure you hit 55 ias and 68 fcr.

get ml and maek to reduce your mana potting. can't even imagine how sucky your mana situation must be without bo and 100+ boable mana from spirit. 5 teles and you need to pop corpses again?

I also suggest hl over cats, and a lower str req eni so you don't waste hard points into str. ignore life leach completely, eni gives you all the laek you could ever need. find some meh fcr ring with ml and mana instead, potentially gloves with ml too.

Silk weave boots, Spirit Monarch, battle orders, and 1x SoJ should supply enough mana for a Java.

rings have to be raven + fcr unless you waste a jewel slot on cham, which wouldn't make any sense in any case

So I switched to tstrokes, went with soj and rfrost, got 3 skillers and respecd away from max block. With Phoenix honestly the mana problem isn't an issue. I didn't have D/A/E before because I read that it delayed casting spells but I do know and I feel sustainable just not as much around souls. I use cta and spirit and the Tele is fine and with the faster kills it feels better. Just looking to get better gloves and tri res boots but I can't complain she wrecks so far for what I'm doing and is my go to character now for killing.

no

griffon is BIS but sunder + infinity is sufficient... losing out on the 25% fcr means you miss the 68 fcr bp though if youre teleporting

infinity is more important than griffon for java damage in hell

depends on the situation, i prefer titans due to the far superior QoL is provides and the frw fixes the slow zon issue

you cannot hit 100% pierce with points invested in piece alone, due to its diminishing returns

razortail is not "necessary" but is by far BIS for damage

max block is not necessary in sc (or even hc), focus on life and light/fire res

use 15ias jewel (preferably with res or maek) if youre using titans

you already hit the 68fcr bp using griffon, spirit, fcr ring

use wizspike to hit the 99fcr bp on switch (assuming you have a bo barb)
