Hi guys! Love reading these play throughs so thought I'd start one of my own. Should be fairly challenging, so let's see how far we get.

Rules:

- Single player self found items only
- Classic (non-expansion)
- Hardcore
- Player 8 at all times
- PlayStation 5 /w controller

I think the last part might be the hardest for me as I'm not used to using a controller and it seems we cannot easily save and exit! Will need to be very careful.

Starting off with double swing mace specialisation. Will move to flails once I hit act 2. Den was easy of course:

Haven't been playing much as tested positive for covid and feel like arse.


Most of act 1 was uneventful, but at level 15 we gambled two flails to speed things up:

Decided to run Andy a few times to try and gather some useful items.


Purchased some basic MF gear:






And found a decent nagel first run! Nice!

Ran Andy five more times and managed to pick up the following ...


Cleglaw gloves - maybe useful for bosses ...




Hsauras belt - very useful if I find the boots for the AR boost:




Another nagel! To be honest, the AR and ATD is quite useful right now ...

Act 2 was pretty dull. We switched to two gambled war hammers for more damage, and used every diamond to try and roll a nice savage polearm. I love this recipe and it's a great way to get an exceptional weapon early on. We ended up with the following:




Nothing of interest dropped throughout the act. Duriel was straight forward and clegs helped a lot. Drop was useless:




On to act 3!

In act 3 I took a risk and respecced the character to use the partizan as the double swing damage just wasn't cutting it. This meant all stats in str/dex and no vita 😭. Couple of interesting drops a long the way - clegs sword now along with gloves, shame I'm not sword specced:




Death's gloves which always help, would be awesome if we could find the belt to go with it:




We also hit level 30 in A3 just before meph which meant ww! This made meph a total breeze. Forgot to take screenshot though ...

Now we have ww and our partizan act 4 was easy as can be. Ww is so op in classic 😎. Found a useful anmy on the way to chaos:




Diablo was straightforward but came my closest yet to dying when I ww right into his lightning attack. Drops were useful:




The res from duskdeep and tearhaunch will be useful. Bring on nightmare ..

Act 1 nm was a breeze with ww. Decided to run nm Andy a few times to gather some decent items, as my gear was pretty shocking. This armour is pretty nice for classic:




Found a new weapon that is a slight improvement over my current:




Nice little amulet drop for us:
