So many items!!
lol, I try.
A little update.
I was reviewing my map and planning on making an update about how the map is performing now that I have played it ~20k runs. I was tracking and recording the number of packs I see when about 990 runs into 1000 runs of tracking I accidently re-set my map.
I have been since been on the mission to re-roll a new perfect map.
Since I have started re-rolling pits maps, I have learned some information.
One, if you add "-resetofflinemaps" in your d2r shortcut command line then you do not have to switch difficulties to change your static map.
Two, if you have a saved version of your character, you can put your character into a hero editor to figure out what the "seed" number your character is in. This number apparently represents the map layouts your character has. So, I can actually get my old map back by adding "-seed SEEDNUMBERHERE" into the command line. Apparently, from what I have read, you should add the seed command line, enter 1 game, and then remove the seed details from your command line... not sure why? Haven't tested it.
Either way, I am still on a mission to roll a new map and play it for a while. Once I find a map, I will do a comparison of it against my old map and post the data here.
Step 1 for the perfect pits map, the perfect A1 starting position:
Absolute Best IMO
Second Best IMO
All other starting A1 zones are not good in my opinion. The reason I like the two above the best is due to the fact that the WP is above and slightly to the left. It is a very easy and natural movement for my mouse, but it feels a shorter distance to the WP than the other WPs (not really sure on this though)... its mostly about the natural mouse movement which when running the pits for 10s of thousands of runs, I want all mouse movements to be easy and natural.
