I was pretty scared of this guy, almost skipped him. I did a long teleport into Lower Kurast from Flayer Jungle, so I was in LK safely without facing him, but that just felt wrong so I had to go back for the fight.

After my merc died, I decided to try out the moat trick with Hydra. Turns out Blizzard works much, much better Who would have thought?


He was eventually taken down though!


Decided to do Izual to get some more Hydra damage before potentially starting up a NM Meph grind!

Stats at the moment. Hydra damage still quite low but coming along. It would have been much easier to just max FB/Hydra/FM first and then go for Nova/LM after ... But this way was more fun!




That's where I'm at right now. I'm afraid to face NM Meph head-on with Nova as I would probably eventually RIP. I'm considering doing p3 runs of him using Hydra + the moat trick, but I need to wait and see how a 300 damage Hydra actually does vs him as far as kill speed goes. I'm pretty sure the next time I play I'll be re-rolling a good Durance map and starting a NM Meph grind to buff up for Hell!!
