Hell Act 5 so far... Bloody foothills was full of fire immune javelin throwing cats chasing me. I ran past them and killed Shenk.
Frigid highlands was full of fire immune demons chasing me. I ran past them and saved the barbarians.
Arreat plateau had fire immune skeletons... but atleast they didn't chase me, I only had to avoid the projectiles. Crystalline passage was full of fire immune succubi, which couldn't even be broken. I cleaned the claw vipers and ice monsters while dodging the red orbs and proceeded to Frozen river.
Frozen river finally had no immunes, reanimating dead, succubi and wraiths, they were easy to clear, Anya is safe now.

Nihlathak was awful, I had to stay far away and try to poke from there. Every corpse explosion took ~70% of my hp, so I had to be at full health and instantly full rejuv after each explosion. Eventually I jumped on him with sigil and we nuked him down.

I had to reroll Glacial trail 5 times. The first 4 times it was full of fire immune deathlords. Their immunities couldn't be broken by conviction and they would kill my mercenary in a few seconds. I couldn't safely outrun them and I wouldn't dare to blindly teleport on a map with deathlords. The 5th map had claw vipers and reanimating knights, lots of charges but I could atleast keep the distance and kill them from afar.

Ancients were down on the first attempt, Talic rolled fire immune but it could be broken. Took some time, but Hephasto was a beast.

Worldstone keep thankfully had no dolls, but the throne room was full of fire immune doom knights. It didn't matter much, as they could be taken down by Hephasto + mercenary without issues.
I had to pay attention to make sure they focus Hephasto and not the mercenary, but otherwise it was just a matter of time.

First wave was easy, only Colenzo was immune, but he quickly dropped. Second wave had no immunes, they exploded in a couple of spells. Third wave I didn't even bother to keep my mercenary alive, he died pretty much instantly, Hephasto stood in the middle of the room and I spammed apocalypse, so far so good. No issues with the fourth wave either, similar to wave 2.

Wave 5 I tried to knock them around similarly to Infector back in act 4, but it would have taken 30+ minutes this time. I simply lured them out of the room and teleported back to cheese the fight and go straight for Baal.

Baal was as easy as any bosses, have them stand in the sigil and keep the spellspam. I had to town once to get some more mana potions as he had way too much health.

Completed the obligatory cow king kill as well. Reached level 89, and since I still haven't found any strength charms, I increased my strength to 65 and equipped Natalya's boots. Current resists are 67-75-75-75 this way.
During the walkthrough I have found 35 distinct unique items (8%), 34 distinct set items (25%) and crafted 8 distinct runewords (8%).

Walkthrough is finished.
  • All quests completed on all difficulties
  • All waypoints collected on all difficulties
  • Never died
  • Kept players 8 during progression*
  • Solo & self-found
  • Bonus: never used respec, imbue, socket or personalization quest rewards

*the only time I reduced it to players 1 was normal/nightmare Countess reruns due to the nature of Countess rune droptable. The first kill on them were P8 too.

It was a fun journey, glad this game finally received a meaningful update. I haven't yet tried the magic or eldritch builds of the warlock, but I really liked the demon-binding gimmick, the low budget teleport and the massive aoe fire damage spells.

I might stick around and gain some more levels or try to gear up the character eventually. I'll post those updates in this thread.

I decided to mess around a bit and see if I can manage the new TZs. Stony field/Tristram had way too many immunes so I skipped that and went back to Stony tombs. I haven't seen any eth elite bases before, and now I found an ethereal 4s Thresher straight away, no cubing needed. Also finally broke the lvl 12 insight curse as well!
