Something in one of the non-nithalik rooms in the halls of vaught killed my merc in about 1/2 second. I have no idea what did it or how it happened. You always have to be on your toes in this game. It can be brutal.

Of course he is cold enchanted. Most of the skeletons were cold enchanted too. I really need 'cannot be frozen'. Once I kill him it is off to town to get the kelpie snare. Kelpie snare completely neutralized Baal.

Neither my merc or I needed a single potion and our health never went down a single point.

I have lots of different rings/amulets that I can swap out for different resists/mf/stats combos so I think my resists will be fine in Hell. My mace is beginning to be underpowered and I need some cannot be frozen. My merc also needs a new weapon and I could use some new armor but thats not critical at this point. Right now I have I'm using sigons for to meet the attack breakpoint and tons of AR. At some point sigons wont cut it so I'm going to need to figure out how to get 25% extra IAS and some AR from other gear.

Tonight I will farm meph and hopefully come up with a new weapon and a base polearm for merc.
