I forgot what iron maiden even looked like. That was such a pain in the ass having to revive merc over and over! They changed this in 1.10 or 1.11 right?
I also remember Ventar being purple, so cool!

As for the barb thing imo it's cool.

IM was removed in 1.13 and I completely understand the reason, because starting from Expansion IM was never properly aligned to the damage dealt by melee charachters. However in the old days it was fine, with the proper ammount of life leech a 200-300 damage WW-barb for example could easily handle IM.

Let's continue with some Cow King farm!

Fun Fact
In 1.00 you were able to kill the Cow King as many times as you want. The King had special drop usually 1 magic and one rare/set/unique item. I say usually because on rare occasions the King drops 4-5 uniques or sets, I wish I knew what is the trigger. Of course this was extremely unbalanced, to obtain endgame stuff in normal, so Blizzard quickly set up the rule 'one kill per difficulty'.

Had no luck on the first couple runs. But at least it is quick and easy, 60-90 seconds per run.

Besides cow runs, which can quickly become boring, I also tried to gain some levels in Act4. I changed the player settings to 6.

Useless sets are raining there.

Successful gamble: the second piece of the set. :)

A useless unique drop:

Enough of the garbage please give me something useful!

Yeah, this is what I am talking about! :)

Set is completed.

Now I can tell you the reason why I wanted to collect it. I found this interesting paragraph in 1.03 patch notes:

Quote
Fixed a loophole that allowed either the Necromancer wearing the complete set of Infernal Tools or the Paladin with Milabrega's Regalia to temporarily boost his skills to very high levels.

So I wanted to try what happens if I am wearing the set constantly re-equipping one of it's pieces. But nothing happened. Either I got it wrong or the bug occurs only in 1.01/1.02.

But anyway it is not a bad set afterall. +2 skills is nice. :)
