Boom! Using this + 20ias gloves (sanders) + lvl 20 Fanaticism (and my unique barbed club) gives me something like 4/4/4/4/8 swings with zeal or 5.2 attacks per second, awesome.

So my character feels pretty stacked right now, I will still farm Meph for another day or two and hope to get that rare Gaze or HoZ (the dreams), but I feel strong enough to take down Diablo and start some Shenk farming and A5 ... Would definitely like a better base for Rhyme than Aerin Shield at a minimum.

Thanks for taking a look, anyone have any thoughts on a weapon upgrade I should be looking for? I suppose I could just up this weapon too, but I wonder if there is something else..

butcher's pupil is the best u can find I think ^^ is pretty good upped and so on.

Also hammers / nagas with huge ed are good

guillaumes / rockstopper is a must imo. cb for hell is mandatory, and DR.

Yea, butcher's would be great. Haven't seen it yet, I think I will start farming NM Andy and Meph only to try and find it, I think HoZ/Vamp can only drop from NM Meph though. Will look up some tables. Guillaumes would be nice too, but for DR I think I would prefer to have Gaze for now, either one would be a current upgrade though for sure.

Edit: Seems I cannot find Guillaumes/Gaze/HoZ from Andy (not suprised by HoZ).. I think I would just continue to do NM Meph runs and skip NM Andy

I wonder if Fleshrender is actually a better weapon than Butcher's?
They have about the same average damage (92.5 vs 99) Mine is 92, so about average for fleshrender.
With fleshrender and my current setup I can reach 4/4/4/4/7 attack or 5.2 attacks per second but butchers I would be 5/5/5/5/8 or 4.46 attacks per second. (478.4 damage a second assuming all hits land and no CB or DS, etc with my weapon, versus 441.54 damage a second using an average damage butchers assuming all hits land and no CB or DS)
According to their bases (barbed club vs cleaver) they have the same range (although under the unique section it says butcher's has a range of 2? weird)
Fleshrender has 20 DS Butchers 35 DS
Fleshrender has 20 CB Butchers has 0 CB
Fleshrender has 25 OW Butchers has 25 OW
Fleshrender has prevent monster heal Butchers does not

So really, 478.4 dmg/sec versus 441.54 dmg/sec, but 20% more CB and 15% less DS... What do people think?

Anyone else have thoughts?

EDIT: 118.35 average damage if fleshrender is up'd or 615.42 dps versus 134.75 average damage or 600.985 dps if butcher's is up'd

Final edit on this comment: I also did not account for added damage based on strength, fanaticism added % damage, or zeal added % damage

uppd headstriker is also a weapon you may want to go throgh hell with, allthough I never tried it on p8

Eh, too lazy for that.. seems like a lot of work. Really though, I don't have butcher's to use anyway right now, but I think in the end if I don't find it before I find a gaze/guilliums/HoZ, I will move on without it because its close enough I don't think it will make a difference of me progressing or not (at least that is what I have decided), still an interesting question though.



Yea, I saw that as a possible option too, I think like I said above, really all these weapons are probably on a similar strength level so in the end I am probably not worried about upgrading my weapon right now, will just focus on the gear I need most, helm - shield, possibly a raven would be great if I somehow find a HoZ

Well according to bnet website a cleaver has a range of 1 and a barbed club has a range of 1, however it says that butcher's has a range of 2 under the unique section, not sure if this is correct or not

Edit: it looks like exceptional unique axes is the only section that shows range and they are all 1 more than the base item?
