With life being a problem you want max resists, a conviction unique could drop you to your knees, its good to have over the max resists.

i think in place of the shako you should use a griffs and in place of the hoto you should use eschutas. youll get your fcr and you can get resis from other items easily. the +damage and -resistance from those items (especially when you add a couple of facets) is more gfg then any hoto you can make and and shako you can find.
