I'm a little late to the party and I haven't read the whole thread but it seems nobody has made an SS druid yet and apparently it will be one of the harder challenges which is exactly what I'm hoping for

My intention is to use no mods of any kind, maphack, increased stash, ladder runewords, etc etc

i got a question for my wt

im now at izual and its not allowed to have more then 200 armor against him



how about my act2 merc? he give me the defensive inc. armor aura and ill get over 200 armor with his aura

is this allowed?

just take off armor part or something like that, izual is not hard, only thing the rule applies towards you, not your merce.

From my understanding of the rules you can upgrade the item if you want but only if you can continue using the item as you mustuse the item from now until after Nightmare Andariel.

It's pretty cheap to upgrade a normal rare weapon (1 Ort Rune + 1 Amn Rune + 1 Perfect Sapphire + Normal (Basic) Rare Weapon) but the str req would be 115 and dex req would be 98.

Looking closely at your stats though since you have some to spare and your dex is already high if you stat strength and get some exta str/dex from gear maybe you could do it actually and I think it would be definitely worth it, the increase in damage will be huge, almost double. If you can manage without it.... then I wouldn't bother. NM Andariel isn't so far away...
