Did some more Eld/Shenk runs. Here are some of the results:

Made two runs with the normal killing setup (only mf from shield). Decided switch back to some mf (alibaba + ring).


This Eld was scary. Well those AMP casting ones are always. Specially when there are archers around.


No goodies :/ I did DING tho! Level 87 now. Also got my Dragon Talon to level 18 which means I get 4 kicks now (instead of 3). We'll see how it works out.



218 points in dext. Few more points than I actually need for max block but that's because I found raven.

There was this lonely Blunderbore I almost skipped since I saw the Barbarian prison that was close. Decided to kill him because he was alone and boom, a Phase Blade.

So, now I have a problem. Didn't really see this one coming... With the Crescent Moon my str drops 20 points, which means I cannot wear my boots anymore! They require 163 str and I only have 149.

I went back to norm and nm to check for respecs and yes, I have the nm one left.

Now wondering what kind of setup I should go with.. I have the Nats helm "Ral'd" and the Tals Mask (unsocketed).

Here are the stats with both helmets atm. Notice that the tals mask is still unsocketed and I have two socket quests left (nm + hell ).


So... With Nats helm I obviously would get a little more life (and res) but the dual leech ring Tals helm sounds really nice. Even with the new blood ring more LL wouldn't hurt.

I think the 20 dr# from my current amulet (+8@ too) is still too good to be replaced. Or what do you think? Decent alternative imo would be the Eagle Collar for the huge blocking stats (block% + dext) and some res. It also has atleast some dr. Still not sure if I should use it... Perhaps it'd allow me to sol my Tals mask?

Also considered using the Imp Guard. If I put another P diamond into it it'd give quite huge res to me, which'd allow me to sol my Tals for sure. Eagle Collar would help my block chance. My FBR would drop one bp.


Ideas?! I'm really unsure how to do this...

I think I'll take a small break now, make some coffee and do something else. Perhaps my thoughts are clearer after that

ugh.. tal mask is just buttugly
even tho it is a prettey nice helm.. could you test it out without wasteing a socet?

also your using rhyme right? isnt a cbf prettey mutch a must have on a melee based char.. or got it covered elsewhere?

Yeah it's ugly but I cannot really afford choosing gear according to looks. Yes I'm still using Rhyme. I'm also using a Ravenfrost I found from nm Chaos some time ago so I got CBF covered. Just haven't found a better shield yet...

Also thought about that. Perhaps I should try to find and better helm/gamble a circ. Guillaumes would obviously be teh shit. Eventho now that I have Crescent Moon I'm not sure if CB is that great (sure it's needed vs light immunes.....). A circ with skills etc would also be cool.

cb still works wonders from the point the static does not. and its not like you'dd have 100% ctc static (i think sebhehe's baal fight proved that).

hard choice with the helm if it means you have to respec anyways. does the 10% ll help you tank more? if yes i'dd go with that..

You are right about the static and I'm sure at some point I'll miss the CB from Strenght. I have a pretty good attack speed tho so I hope the 7% will prove usefull.

Perhaps I'll do some LK and eld/shenk runs and see if I can find something cool before I respec.
