I’ll say that rolling a particularly good AT or Pit map with the right proximity to WP/pack density/linearity etc can take a lot of time and that could play a factor in him not wanting to reset his seed to go back to other difficulties to find items he’s very probable to find throughout the course of looking for ridiculously rare elites like Mang Song’s, Tyrael’s etc.
As many have said here, there's no reason at all to not farm for tyrael's. Every run spent on a spot not able to drop tyrael's is a waste of time.
If you want a grail with "the most rare item" at the end, do one yourself. This isn't a grail that wants to be cool, just efficient. If tyrael's is the most rare by far, it'll show here.
My plan:
Farm tyrael's
If azurewrath haven't dropped, farm hell meph
If mang song / astreon's haven't dropped, farm pindle
If zod haven't dropped, farm cows
If cow king helm haven't dropped, farm nm cows
If cow king boots/chest haven't dropped, farm normal cows
If there's any unique items left, go to the quickest enemy and farm them
Die at lilith
End of story
