I decided to run the armor stands in Nilathek's temple a lot today. It paid off, because of this (but it didn't drop from the stand!):

So, now I have an OK base for sanctuary if (when?) I find dracs.

Also dropping from the other armor stand on the same run was the above. Utter dismay, combined with a little excitement that this armor stand may eventually hold something good. So far though this was the only pally shield to drop from a stand. The armor stands down here seem much more randomized. I have a feeling that the order in which you hit them may play a part. I should research this quirk of armor stands in SP...


One gear change - I put a shako (the one meph dropped a ways back, same day as arach)  on my merc for the extra damage reduce. He was dying fast if there were snakes / charging corpses (fade not triggered yet). Now, not so much.

The light radius is one of the reasons I'm so eager to get a torch :p  I'm kind of anal about popping chests if they are on the way or underfoot, even though I know it is probably a waste of time. This superstition goes back to my 'zon who finally got her Ko for harmony from a skull pile in chaos. Ahh memories
