I'm not about to re-roll a map until I find an armor rack like that either; IMO too much like cheating. Although the effort to find & ID such a rack would be huge. The armor rack near meph right now drops carnage helms most of the time, sharkskin gloves most of the rest of the time, sun spirits, and occasionally heraldic shields. Once it dropped a kurast shield for me. There might even be a screenshot of it a ways back. I think I said, "could this be it?" but it wasn't.
There are also armor racks in Nilatheks temple. I'll have to explore them on this new map, especially since I'm in there anyway.
I was actually wondering about trade value not on single player forums, but rather US East (early) ladder, as that is where my experience has been prior to getting back into single player.
I ran nil about 15 times just now. Only one key, and no good drops except for a (bad) gheeds and this bow.

Once they explode themselves, Nilathek can then use those corpses for CE.
yep. necros love them monsters. they explode and make a free corpse or otherwise they have really low hitpoints so there easy to kill for a corpse.
