The battle at travincal was too intense. I used a LOT of juvs. At this point I went back and MFed in A1 for a breather.

Another cool find, illustrating the reason why ladder rune words may not appear in my next walk.


At this point I'm in a pattern of travincal running & A1 rejuv-restocking. I was at it for hours. Running trav w/ hammerdin even on /p8 only takes a minute or two now. Sometimes I only kill the half that spawn outside house, as fighting in a doorway is not a good idea. My wife was wondering where I was. I was about to call it quits, when on Jan 10, at 10:11 EST:

So I went back to my rune page to assess the situation:



ISO KO, again. Or IO, or Lum. I saved every rune so far. Lower runes are another page. My luck w/ rune drops was all over the board. Pul, Mal, two Lem, a Ko, and now a Vex(!) but not a lot of anything else, especially over hel. This was disappointing given the number of countess runs I made for that previous Ko. The only upside was hella-lot-o-craft supplies.

So, back to A1, juvies and countess.


Yea! not bad! I can load up more MF w/o sacrificing defense.

And on the second or third countess run I found a GC and an IO. I didn't screenshot the IO because I didn't realize what it meant at the time:

99 was not the original goal, but it may become a goal! I've never done that before. W/o enigma though I'd probably get real bored. Here is hoping!

That gear is actually from A5, as I had not used any socket quests at this point in hell.

Now with hoto in hand I went back for the heart, and finally continued on my way to meph.

I finally found an elite pally shield, but I't isn't anything to burn a socket quest on, or even the runes/gems on it. It will be an option for later.

I didn't run meph. I had a bad map, and compared to running him with my 450+ MF barb with the best meph map ever, I knew I was bound to be disappointed.
