I couldn't kill him He replenishes life too fast for my 1 point ice blast to kill him after staticing. I had just started putting points into cold skills but so far only have unlocked ice blast. One more level and I'll get cold mastery...

I decided to exit game and shop for a +3 ice blast staff and get 1 more level. It didn't take me long to find this:
