Yup, it's not specific for Pit but for all level 85 areas.

It's very simple really. If you want to find a high TC item; kill as many Champion/Boss packs as possible in a level 85 area in the shortest possible time for best result.

It's why I don't really run Pindleskin anymore, The Pits and Ancient Tunnels are almost always better!
