e: @ Textbook, for killing diablo, are we able to pick up the dropped gear once we kill shenk or are we supposed to drop it for good and then use whatever we have left in our stash/inventory?

Original intention was to drop for good .. but I feel as though it's too unfair for certain classes, I'll have it as "Drop until you kill shenk, then you can go pick it up".

Enlightenment + Spirit is much easier to make than Hoto + XXXX

Unless you plan on farming a vipermagi sometime soon .. go with nlight/spirit wep imo

hit lvl 90 in pits and thought i try baal again (i think the wpn slot 1 and 2 rule hits me, as a melee, really hard, its hard enough to find a melee wpn for hell, now i need 2.....) especially if you consider that you changed diablo kill rules AFTER that i finished him, and lost a quite nice shield there... (moser's blessed circle)
