I'm still a bit burned out. I'm not sure whether to just bring in the dracs & shield & get on with it, or continue looking for them. I know that it will feel real crappy if I twink those items then find a pTorch.

Today I'm just now getting to play a bit. It is pretty late so I'm not going to decide tonight.

imo, if you trade it with an item of equal value(arreats?), it won't be cheating.

maybe im more of a purist but when playing single player i dont believe in trading between characters no matter if the item is of same value or not.

I forgot to take off /players 8 and was surprised that I could take meph w/o having to town! Wielding dual gimmersheads makes all the difference now. Also making a difference is NOT using namelock when double throwing, but rather clicking repeatedly instead. For whatever reason this increases the throws that actually land considerably. You can tell the difference in the video because I remembered this technique about half way trough his life bar.


Anyway, it still feels better for a char as powerful as hammerdin to be 100% self-found, especially if I'm looking for dracs. The options I have for barb-found pally shields are a 45 res 2os sacred rondach, and a 3os 28 res sacred targe (if remembering properly). As far as I'm concerned, neither shield is really end-game material, as I am really lame and like the ease of the 15% ctc lifetap from exile. So if I do trade it will still be following my rule of not trading for end game gear. Of course, I'm defining end-game as having the best gear realistically possible, not completing the UT quest... I'm still all about the items here...

I have arreats and a warcry lifer in trade this time. More than fair for dracs & one or both of those shields. Only prob w/ arreats is that I really like the circlet he found. It isn't a trophy room trophy, but it is one of mine for sure. So arreats wouldn't get used, even though it is probably better. I'm sure there are others of you out there who prefer rares over cookie-cutter uniques.


Yup, I'm still undecided. ISO more opinions.

So I have some damage reduction now for UT gear options. I actually found another string of ears in the last album. I didn't convert the movie though because I ran out of space and deleted it by accident. Anyway, now I have two, and you can see the vid for this find.

Thanks. I've been using "Media Cope" (free) to convert the videos and selecting "very high" mpg output, so I hope things are pretty clear. I hate grainy videos & pics.

I ran trav a few times more and just uploaded additional screens to the album.




How is that for a sign that I should be trading w/ my throw barb! He is still using tri-pTopazed Gris armor.

I will need to learn some new muscle memory though. I may have to remap 1 2 3 4 to be charge / hammer / holy bolt / smite so that I can switch attacks more quickly. Or does vigor matter when charging? If not then I can just move my charge hotkey to the right button.

vigor does help making you charge faster, charge with your mouse at about half screen for the best control and dont even bother charging through mobs, just charge when you have clear open space
