Here are my weapons on alt that I'll be using a lot in Hell to overcome phys immunes and large mobs

MF gear. I only wore these items sometimes during MF runs (some pieces more than others) because my summons are decently weaker when equipped.

%'s between regular and MF gear.

Alright, it's finally time to respec into a Sorceress

You'll notice Strength is at 101... I fucked up and clicked one too many times so I shorted myself 1 Vitality point. I was gonna put more into Dex but I put just enough to give myself 70ish% chance of blocking. I'll use my NM respec once I get a little more than half of my final gear (whatever that turns out to be), and if I haven't killed Hell Baal or die before I collect all of my end-game gear, then I'll use Hell respec to be as efficient as possible.

^My resist in Hell is nice af. I'm very happy with almost perf resist for just beginning Hell^

Lastly, here's Mr. Merc's gear. I want to find an eth elite polearm that I can make "Crescent Moon" in. That's my goal for Act 1, as well as grind for runes at the Countess.

Well that's it so far! I'll start Act 1 (Hell) later on. Wish me luck! God knows I'll need it....

Goldmember? :P

I love summon druids :)

I actually had similar gear going into Hell on my summon druid and found it pretty easy until the Arcane Sanc. I would suggest swapping to a Lawbringer Act 5 merc by the time you reach Arcane Sanc in hell, that certainly helped me a ton.

Oh and also, the spirit wolves synergy really doesn't help a lot and is not needed at all, you could spend those 20 pts elsewhere.

Here is a druid pet calculator in case you haven't tried it: http://tph.tuwien.ac.at/~gottwald/druid_pet_calculator.html

Whose Goldmember?

Also, thanks for the advice! “Lawbringer” was would be my last choice. I’d rather have an Amplify wand and free up merc’s weapon.

Did your summon survive Hell? Thanks for the tip on the Spirit Wolves. The only thing is that I use them a lot. Like I’ll constamtly spam them in the middle of a mob of enemies to distract them while my mercenary kills. But I have Spirit, Dire, Bear and HoW maxed out. I was gonna max out Oak to boost my summons’ life so they don’t die as easily against large groups of enemies and then switch to HoW for damage. Since no other summon seems to be that helpful, I was going to leave Spirit Wolves maxed. Does that seem like a viable plan since I want to remain a pure Summoner.

There is no such thing as an amp damage (charged) wand :/ But yeah, just try it as-is and you can always swap to Lawbringer if you find it too difficult. The problem is that those PI ghosts all crowd up the narrow pathways and there is no way to pass them (except a possibly dangerous teleport), and even with decrep/merc/grizzly and pretty nice gear I found it very hard to do nice damage. I guess we will see how your experiences go with it, looking forward to it ^_^

I think in Hell you will find Spirit Wolves quite useless. Dire Wolves can be nice vs large groups of smaller monsters like fallens or those act 3 pygmies, though. This is assuming that you are on P8. If you are on a lower setting, Spirit Wolves may work fine. I wouldn't max Oak and HoW both, but you should try it out if you want to and we can all see how it works :) And yeah, I suppose if you'd like to stay a pure summoner it makes sense to just keep the Spirit Wolves maxed, however I think my Grizzly had over 20k AR with only 1 pt to Spirit Wolves. Maybe those blinding ravens could be useful, didn't try them personally.

Whatever you choose, it'll be interesting to watch and GL

Oh and to answer your question, yes he survived Hell. He was a pure summoner up until the end of act 2/beginning of act 3 Hell. Then I had nice enough gear to swap to a Summoner with Fireclaws backup for PI

RIP Doge

I was trying to switch to my +Attract wand, but then all my summons starting dying and I was too late. I scrambled to SnE. But I failed. I should have had the wand on alt instead of sitting in inventory :[

Oh well! I'm surprised I did as well as I did! Time to go back to the ole drawing board and start anew! I'll def bring back my Druid later. His death will not be in vain.

bah yea. I was switching out to some of my MF gear hoping that I would be fine and get some better gear to drop.

I was not... Should have just kept my reg gear on but doubt that would have helped me too much
