After like 20 minutes I figured out how to manage the situation and hired a cold merc to deal with the minions.

Fun Fact
In this version cold mercs use only Glacial Spike. So they are quite good helpers if you don't need corpses.



Finally got the brain after like 30 minutes.



And here you can see the superchest drops. Very disappointing.

Brings back some memories of when I started playing (at age 11).

Another Fun Fact about Act3 mercs
In Expansion Blizzard added a new Act 3 merc name honoring an amateur programmer and Diablo fan who, inter alia, wrote the most comprehensive Diablo guide. Can you guess the name?

Ruined Temple was fun. I just let them surround the golem, waiting for the first victim...



... and then:



Shitwing was a real pain in the ass, like all teleporting monsters in Classic, because if they are low on life they start teleporting like mad, quickly healing back themself. And if you are unable to perform a killing blow, the fight will last forever.

Travincal was tough as well, but managable.





Forgot to take a screen from Izmail.

Khalim's will is a bit different - missing life leech.

Sigon's belt dropped. Too bad it's useless given that there are no partial set bonuses.

Assfist hit very hard. Luckily my golem is a very good life supplier.



Fartbringer was impossible because of the teleport. I just skipped him, and tried the other.



Faggothand was companied by a Bllood Lord pack... so hard to reach Mephisto.

The fight with Mephisto was easy. The golem stood firm.

Finally I can go to Act 4, land of Grim Wands. Hopefully I will find an Ume's or Infernal.
