So the thing is that the big D melted my merc in one hit and my Valkyre couldn't last longer either. I couldn't just go for normal shots, because my AR was so low I only hit him two third of the time. Had to use GA, but lacking mana steal on my gear and having 1.09 merchants not selling any mana potions I was forced to fire about 12-14 shots and had to port back to town to refill my mana and resummon my Valkyre. Fun fun fun.

Have to keep focused and not get overconfident by the end and stick to the tactics.

So as I said, it took 25 minutes tops to clear the whole sanctuary, including the seal bosses. Taking down Diablo brought the thing to a whole new level. I think this was the longest bossfight I ever had in any game.
I started listening to Wolves in the Throne Room's album, the Two Hunters (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTI0MgVzuxQ) before engaging him and it has already been over for a while by the time I managed to kill the Lord of Terror. Yes, that album has a playtime of 46 minutes.

It got released on 20 Aug 2001 and went up to 1.09d during the couple of months, up until 1.09d finally arrived in early December.

1.09d was around for a while, 1.10 got live on 28 Oct 2003.
