People should not get their hopes up to much Hunting for runes above IST is pretty much a waste of time imo. Ive played the game for 2-3 years and only seen 1 HR in LO from the blue guy in cold plains hell.
Not that I want to run into the time vs buying diccussion, cause for me its all about playing the game. I realy dont care what drops, but this information is good to have when you decide on hunting spesific areas.
Places like cows and travi also yield a fare amount of charms, and blue stuff that can be goodies.

Running countess and cubeing her and forge runes are my favorite way of getting HRs in game, Countess will also give you keys, wich also works as a currency.
The chest behind Meph have also yielded som mid-upper runes, not sure if it has specialy drop chances though.

I have a theory on that chest. It would be intersting to test. This chest is a superchest and it should perform the same as the LK chests. I myself do not want to be making 3K hell mephy runs to see if I ever get a HR from it. IF someone has the time and the will to do this in SP, please post your results and a screenie of any rune above PUL that dropped from this chest.

that is because Jah cannot fall in act3 from a chest so the usual targets are not viable options. I believe mephy can drop it but its like 1 in a million. Super chests should be bugged everywhere and not just in act 3. The problem becomes that there are not a set of superchests that can be easilly run beyond act3. There is a pair in act4 river of flame, only on certain maps. There is a set of superchests in act5 somewhere, I am just not sure where. In either case, they are more difficult to reach and thus the quest for Jah is a never ending battle against cows.

If you are refering to the strategy section, then yes. However, I said to go into the "Single Player Forum" on that site and look for the Lower Kurast threads. That information is accurate and has been confirmed to be accurate by a highly respected poster.

i ran a chest bot for days without getting any special runes in lower kurast. ive found several hrs in the cs though
