I'll make this post for this alone, since it's a lot of information.





I thought most people knew how Lower Kurast worked (and why it's the best place to farm High Runes) already so I didn't bother writing anything more about it!
Sorry sorry...

But here's a scratch on the surface:

* First of all Lower Kurast always spawn a map with either one or two Campfires. A Campfire ALWAYS has 3 Super Chests. So a good Lower Kurast map has two Campfires in close proximity to your Waypoint. This means that you have 6 Super Chests to open every run. Besides the Super Chests each Campfire also has one Weapon rack and one Armor rack.

* A Super Chest is a very special type of Chest that only spawns in specific places. For example there's also one behind Mephiso. These Super Chests (or Special Chests) have a different dropping system from mosters or regular chests. They only have 65536 different kinds of drops. Each time you open a Super Chest, one of the 65536 patterns are randomly chosen. About 80 of all patterns contains a useful Rune (Pul or higher).

* It might sound horrible, but considering that you should run 6 Super Chests every run and with a good runner do it in under 30 seconds the odds of getting good runes are much higher than anywhere else. And this is only from the Super Chests. You should also have a few poppables to "open". Poppables like Skeletons, Loggs, Corpses and normal Chests. If you run an avarage LK map in under 30 seconds you should stastically find a good Rune every hour.

Then we also have this "Runes from Chests"-list:

I believe that Vex #6 and Vex #7 are the same pattern, but it's really hard to tell. I don't know the exact math behind this either. Just seems that way
But if you are running LK, these are most likely the patterns you want to hit!
