lets see - with might aura ur dmg is 30-50% higher (depends on weapons and skills and so on...), but lets pick the bottom value.
With 30% more dmg u kill monsters 30% faster (not to mention ur merc gets 50% more dmg so the numbers goes up even higher), so they have 30% less time to hurt you,
while defiance WON'T make your enemies hit 30% less often - the chance of missing will be ~10-15% higher (or even less). The thing which determines your survivability is also life leeching. You obviously have source of at least 5%ll right? If not I loled... but let's say u r not that terrible player and u have some, so you probably know that
amount of life returned is determined not only by % of life leeching but also by the dmg you do - so with 30% more dmg u get back 30% life more, so Might not only increase ur killspeed but in the same time affects your survivability signifficantly.

you pvm guys...:) ...try pvp sometimes - you will learn a lot about the basics of this game, which will help a lot with properly building your pvm chars;)

PvM and pvp are 2 completely different things.
Did you know that some skills, auras, and cursed affect players and monsters differently?
