How so? I can see how keeping more items for specific purposes makes it easier, but I also hate using that word to describe it. I have seen some say the stash just makes it seem as if you were on BNET with mules.

I really enjoy the stash because it allows me to keep literally everything I find interesting. When I go through my stash at the end of the WT and can physically see all the items I have found along the way it will be rewarding. I try to keep at least 1 of every unique or set I find, and multiples of the high end rare/uniques. The stash is almost like a recording of your findings, at least in my eyes. I have probably 40 pages of stashed items from sigons set up to the Cranium Basher which is one of the rarest items in the game I believe.

Also: most WT's on here have a final goal of just killing hell baal. I don't see very many attempting to gather gear to try Ubers or anything extraordinary. As you know with ubers, it may require tons of trial and error especially on part 8, and I would like to have any item that can help me accomplish that.

Technically, since you used it to load items, and I'm sure every single plugy user has used the alt key stats reset, he's correct. Plenty of people have done ubers.

Collecting every item a legit reason to use plugy. But it does cheapen the game considerably.


Just nit picking btw, but "bnet muling" =/= single player walkthrough.

I actually considered not replying to Ston3 at all because I knew there was a very high chance that you couldn't resist the urge to claim your righteousness for the public eye again. Nobody cares man. If you really care about being so technical and correct about everything that happens on these forums, go become a lawyer or something. Maybe you could prove to hold some value in that area.

Notice how I say things like "I don't see" or "I believe"? That's because I am not sure, because I don't spend every waking moment scouring these forums, like some people. How am I supposed to know Plenty of people have done Ubers? I just go from what I have seen, and what I have seen is Jimbo92 and Ixwich's WT's doing ubers.

I do not really know what you mean by saying "load" but I assume you are saying I created the items using a program and then put them on my character or something. While I already admitted it was still wrong 10+ pages ago... the Spirit sword, and insight I had in Normal were self-found on my previous walkthrough and put into the shared stash page, then carried over. Be as technical as you want, but I did not "create" them or whatever you want to call it. I found them on another HC p8 WT. Yeah I get it, it's wrong. But then again, who cares. I use this Walkthrough as a journal to chronicle my progress on what will likely be my last Diablo II character. I made this for my own purpose and because it's a good format for keeping track of how far I get with a character in the most difficult version of the game. If other people enjoy it, then hey that's awesome. Glad I could share it with people.

I thought I established long ago that your presence is no longer encouraged in my thread. If you truly had any other purpose besides to cause a stir in my thread, then you would message me privately about it... but it always has to be seen by the public to get your satisfaction. i agree with this
imo the most important Thing is that you have fun playing with this char, with or without plugy.
for me, plugy makes it to easy, since the walktrough itself is so hard because you have to decide what u Keep or not cuz of your small stash. in Addition to that you can respec like 100000 times etc.

but lets stop complaining.... anyway, ist a very nice wt imo

I'm a plugy user that only uses the stash, and sometimes ubbers with the right characters

but the rest is all disabled, as you can see from my SS's

10,000 Views!

I'm not truly sure of what I will use yet when I try to take on Ubers, but so far here is my list.

Still need
Enigma
Homunculus (may not need, could use Spirit Monarch)
Beast axe
Maras
Fortitude? ( If I make enigma I will have a leftover Lo, might make Fort depending on my runes needed for Beast at that point)
As many Life/res SC's as I can find
