Many people not realise, but the "+2 to curses" on Tarng-Olus glove actually refer to keypad 6 "die". With these gloves equipped your necromancer say it quite louder, which intimidate monsters and make you do more damage. Similar to Barbarian War Cries. I know not why Blizzard not did include this disclaimer, but I guess is one of the many subtelties of game application Diablo II.
