That is a good idea and I never would have thought of that. It didn't even occur to me to put a rune in the Aldurs rhythm. I had to look it up online. I was only thinking jewels and gems.

If you've got unlimited respec at your disposal for sure have a play around and see what you like, plenty of options there. Whirlwind takes a bit of practice and the IAS is more fiddly (basically any IAS that isn't on the weapon doesn't count). It's not so great for bosses either.

If you're digging the Concentrate style, I might play devil's advocate and suggest trying Berserk. It converts all your physical damage in to pure magic damage (i.e. same damage type as Bone Spear/Blessed Hammer) so you never need worry about physical immunes, and enemies immune to this damage type are very rare. BUT. You can't leech health or mana as it deals no physical damage, and each successful hit reduces your defense to 0. The solution? Rejuv pots and a good shield, oh and a strong weapon, with a decent setup Berserk will hit like a truck and flatten most single targets in an extremely satisfying fashion.

I juggled some gear around until I had max lightning resists and then it was off to act 2. I stuck with the concentration/steeldriver combo and it worked very well. With my new offensive NM merc I did up to 2k damage so most things died in one shot. Those freaking sand leapers that are always annoying weren't any trouble. One shot and done.



A high damage concentration barb is the perfect character for the maggot lair.



Because concentration is non-interruptible the vipers are easy too.

Before going down into the palace I decided to try a few more andy runs and maybe find something special. I like the looks of this drop.



This looks like a nice amulet but I wont be using it.



My merc will use this. I like the damage reduction.

The armor it replaced. The dusk shroud is probably better but the skill is lost on a merc.




My new merc gets a new weapon to go along with his new armor. This thing does a little less damage than the lance he had before but it is much faster and those stats are good. That slow target is massive and turns bosses into kittens.





Holy shit...this seems like an excellent shield. Extra damage plus resists! I need the resists so I am using it and switching to the Aldur's rhythm.

She dropped two Sigons helms in a single drop. I have the complete set except for the armor. I'm not going to use it, but I have it.




Too slow for me but I didn't even know weapons could have MF on them.




Another purty ring but I'm not sure I'll use it.

This is a big find. I really need the lightning resists and this charm plus the shield puts me up to max even with all of my MF gear on!




I got another one. I doubt I'll even use the first one. And I thought that this was a rare find...




Highest rune so far.

My stats with 250% MF gear. Not too shabby. Decent resists and damage from a fast one-handed weapon. I steal over 20% life too.




That's all I have so far. Tomorrow I'll finish act two and hopefully my current setup will continue to impress. I really like these bugged NM Andy runs because you get lots of useful gear. I've done around 60 now and that is the most I have ever done on any boss by a long shot. I would still like a butcher's pupil but I don't know if it is worth the grind. I have lots of good gear already and Scooter3 is soooooooo much better than he was before.

1) Any suggestions on what to put into the 3os Aldur's rhythm? I have lots of Pgems and runes up to KO but no good jewels.
2) My shield is supposed to give me a hydra. It spawns sometimes but it disappears in less than a second. It has never even gotten a shot off. Any idea what is going on with that?
