I started today by using my normal Larzuk quest to punch a hole in my imbued circlet for a 27 LRes jewel. I had no idea how shortlived this would be though. Hindsight is 20/20

It's amazing what you can find with only 11 mf:

I guess this drop makes up for a lackluster countess drop:

Saving Cain gave me a decent ring upgrade:

I'll be switching to Harlequin Crest at lvl 81. I burnt my 2nd socket quest. I'm 2 str off from being able to use my belt with shako equipped since I lose quite a bit of str from my circlet. I'll lose a little bit of cold and fire res. I will end up at 63 Fire / 63 cold / 55 Light from 75/75/66. I'm hoping I can get some better LRes charms and FRes charms to consolidate some inventory space, since I'm completely full. Also I'd hel the socket if I get an um run - if I can keep LRes> 50%

---

Every map, seriously, had some cursed pack on it. But, many of these were some combination of cursed with: extra strong (archers), lightning enchanted, might. I even had some scary multishot extra strong fire enchanted pack obliterate my merc. The poor merc died a ton today. Despite aggressive selling I'm still down quite a bit of gold - not that I had much left after gambling yesterday. My tower floor 5 wasn't easy either. I had very little room to fight with a bunch of archers, a wraith LE+cursed pack, and a blood clan extra strong+fast pack. Like floor 5, I had a few packs over the course of my journey that I had to try and split with tp'ing out and running back in. Splitting IA and FA between various immune packs was a bit challenging at times but I made it work. IA+decoy spam allowed me to gib cold immune packs that melted my merc and valk. Fire immune packs were trivial as FA keeps everyone safe.

I look forward to getting out of Act 1.. I can't believe I think Act 2 might be easier for me but we shall see.

Thanks for reading!

I'd sure like the resistances, mf and fhr. But I think Ist+Vex is unrealistic, but who knows!

Yea, an Ist is totally unrealistic now πŸ™‚πŸ™‚

Im crossing fingers already.
By the way: do not underestimate the 11% ml on silence! πŸ˜‰

The base damage is going to be be very low even if I make it in an ashwood bow - 67.5 dmg which would only leech ~7.5 in normal, and about 2.5 mana in Hell BEFORE damage reduction - I also have shit AR since this build is mainly focused on the skill and splash dmg which don't need AR to hit. So that further reduces the mana I get back to maybe 1 per arrow. The mana per kill is pretty good though. I'm not keen on the weapon having fear. I don't have any 5os bases yet (I just realized it requires 6 sockets meaning I can't make this in a stag or ashwood and I would have to give up +2-3 skills), and as of now all my socket quests have been used. I probably will make it simply for the resistances but I'm not super keen on the runeword otherwise for this run.

Yea I now agree, it just doesnt offer enough damage or at least speed to make up for its lack of viable bases. I still like it on paper πŸ™‚

I guess planning around rune drops is actually not even an option in single pass runs otherwise we could go on with β€œone more Gul is Ohm, find Jah there is your Faithβ€œ bla bla

I just hope you can finish this run alive and wish you a lot of FUN.

I can generally count on one of every rune up to Lum or Ko by hell or act 1 hell. The nm hellforge can certainly help too.

 cheers for the well wishes. I had a few close calls yesterday. I hope i just play well enough to not die. I've already killed (at least) 4 dual immunes, I think I can certainly finish the run; I use guided arrow and the KB from melody to pin a mob to a wall while merc and valk get free damage. The scares always come from loaded affixes and small spaces.

Well it wasn't easy, but act 1 is complete. Starting at Outer Cloister (my checkpointed WP) proved tough. I had a Burn+Cursed Dark Runner pack next to a Extra Strong+Fast+CE Brute Pack in the center. Both were Cold Immune, obviously; I'm really enjoying alternating between decoy and IA to safely kill these annoying packs. I back tracked to Pits. Floor 1 proved very tough, lots of nasty packs in close proximity including a might enchanted skele pack next to a cursed conviction dark runner pack (again both cold immune). I found over the course of the day, that I hands down prefer dealing with Fire immunes than Cold immunes. Fire immunes are very safe to deal with since they freeze. Dangerous cold immunes require the decoy/IA spam. After pits were done I proceeded quickly through the rest of Act 1.

---

As soon as I hit lvl 81 I swapped out my circlet to the merc and donned my Ort'd Shako. Other upgrades were in store.

This is my 3rd one in the last 4 runs... Idk how this happens:

I removed the cold/light res ring in favor of this. I still consider my resistances pretty comfortable: 62 Fire, 48 Cold (+20% aborb ~69 effective cold res) and 49 Light. Poison is -54 :D

---

I forgot to screenshot Andariel's drops, but that might give insight to how memorable and important they were

---

I decided to do radament today so that I would hit lv 82 and not forget to allocate some str stats so I could remove a +4 str charm in favor of an additional 8 cold res. Along the way I got really excited when this +3 stag bow dropped.

It was short lived, however:

It's okay though, I still don't have a second Ko.

---

All of sewers felt MUCH easier than all of Act 1, including blood moor.

Only 4 points are needed to finish exploding and cold arrow (2 a piece). I should be done pumping the splash damage synergy by the time I finish Act 2. I'll do Fire Arrow from there to increase the burn damage on IA.

I'm hoping diablo.run is up and working soon to share stats and gear better. I have 1336 life, 439 mana, ~2300 per IA splash and ~1800 per FA - both skills are currently slvl 31. Gear should be mostly the same with Shako swapped for circlet and RF in for the cold resistance ring.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks for posting, enjoying these as a nightly read after long days at work. If you're up for it post more screen shots it's fun to follow the journey in even more detail (I myself am bad at this).

Anyways congrats on shako and RF. Stay safe and good luck
