People talk about hating Dolls but Unravelers are honestly the worst! Esp when you enter a room with like 5 and your merc wont attack any. Just keep respawning skelles and theyre mad tanky sometime :mad:

Dolls are annoying and dangerous, much like souls.. But I honestly find some of the "glass cannon" monsters predictable and much easier to deal with. Dealing with Unique unravelers near ghosts, souls, other unravelers, mummies can just be absolute hell. My worst room so far in one of these runs was on my werebear in Halls of the Dead floor 2 with a small square room with the middle pillar. This room had 7 champion unravelers... yes 7... WITH a mummy sarcophagus. As a werebear all I could do was pull every single skeleton far and away out of the room, kill, repeat and hope the unravelers didn't follow or did move enough that I could kill them near a door. It was basically impossible to kite the mummies out; And yes, it spawned all of them. So, I had to spam shockwave + try to burn unravelers. I think I spent over an hour on that single room.

Lost city was kinda nuts with the packs, LE+conviction, extra strong+cursed, fanatic pack all gating a stairs down to Ancient City. But overall, LC and AT were quite easy: Temple, however, was not. The first room alone was filled with multiple unravelers and a cursed pack of snakes, as well as a holy freeze unraveler in a side door which inevitably pulled. I did manage to find a trang's belt in the first room of floor 1 Claw Viper Temple. Unravelers were my undoing this run. Just full on tilt.



Shadow messed up the initial pull, and I foolishly doubled down on that. I tried a few different ways of managing the room to no avail. Honestly "clawing" through the temple was just torture. I tried to reset the room and come back through the stairs but ended up trapping the door. I tried CoS+Mind Blasting but quickly ran out of pots and stuck in a bad spot due to knockback.

I'm pretty happy with making this far. And of course, I'm disappointed the run ended here.


As always thank for reading. I'll be starting a Vengeance Paladin run tomorrow.

No S&E allowed. I've made it a goal for these runs to full clear every map. Similar to the crashes resulting in map forfeiture (that happened a couple times due to CoS bug) .
