With +1 Battle command applied (and BO/shout of course)
I put 1 point into frenzy but i never use it, it seems to be worth it if i have more points into it to keep the duration longer but im wanting to try and manage without using it as a TRUE THROW (only) BARB





My plan is to continue maxing Battle Orders & then Double Swing, unless i need AR then i will throw some points into Double Throw

You could also opt for 1 point in Battle Cry for situational use, in case Hurlwind is having trouble hitting certain targets in the first place.
Just keep in mind that other curse effects (e.g. Amplify Damage) will normally overwrite it (except vs. Possessed and static units; they cannot be cursed, but Battle Cry applies to those as well).

Warcries: get Find Item and use it on corpses left by any type of Champion or (Super) Unique monster for a second drop chance (Evil and some quest related Super Unique monsters cannot be used).
Combat Skills: get Leap.

Character screen calculates Double Throw damage as if +% Damage from Double Swing synergy and Throwing Mastery were applied separately, when it is actually added to that from other sources.

How did you infer from that one kill that the quest bug did not succeed? Or were you joking?

Battle cry- I'm really hoping to use a lawbringer merc or amp weapons on switch, so this is out..

Find item- would be worth the 2 skill points it takes to get it. But is it worth it at such a low skill level and shit mf ATM, lol.

Leap- if I would have made the enchant sorc from the poll, I would have made a no teleport rule. Leap is a nice stun once its high enough skill level.

Switch weapons - was thinking throwable bo sticks. But once I get to the point of not being able to kill without repairing I will probably get damage sticks on both switches

Bugging part - not really sure how the bug works but I followed what I read. Just 2nd kill was no rares or anything.

First ring craft (complete shit) & so was the 2nd ring craft, lol


Radiment (seperated all skeles far enough away to where they couldnt be revived, so super easy)


Amp Proc'd instantly on fangskin so it was super quick & easy !!!

Level 4 Find Item (current equipment) offers a 29% chance of a second drop. What is not to like about that for a measly 2-point investment? ^^
To Hell with MF... even with 0 you will eventually hork something worth using.

Leap for its knockback effect and to escape dangerous situations where he would otherwise get cornered or surrounded. #1 Barbarian utility skill.

Regarding the quest bug, certain base items are not contained in Andariel's quest TC and thus cannot be processed from it.
Internally, they are collectively known as ''Junk'':

  • Arrows
  • Bolts
  • Key
  • Potion [any kind]
  • Scroll of Identify
  • Scroll of Town Portal

Also, Gold is not in her quest TC either. Hence if any of those items drop from Andariel, then you know that her quest TC was not used.

Quality factors for unique, set, rare, and magic quality within quest TCs are constructed so as to guarantee minimum rare quality when applicable (clearly not when base item is a gem or Rune).
The game performs quality checks in that order.

IF the game has decided to drop unique quality, but one of these criteria is met:

  1. Base item has no unique version
  2. Item Level is lower than needed to drop (any of) the unique version(s)
  3. Unique version selected previously spawned in this game,

THEN it defaults to drop rare quality (magic in the case of charms) with triple (300%) durability.

IF the game has decided to drop set quality, but one of these criteria is met:

  1. Base item has no set version
  2. Item Level is lower than needed to drop (any of) the set version(s)
  3. Base item is War Hat / Studded Leather and area is not the Secret Cow Level [Moo Moo Farm],

THEN it defaults to drop magic quality with double (200%) durability.
Case a is very common, case b sometimes occurs in Normal difficulty (but rarely in Nightmare) ... and Heavy Boots from outside the Secret Cow Level are always Sander's Riprap Heavy Boots.

Returning to kill #2, I suspect that all magic items in that drop are failed set items. Did you, by any chance, check the durability?

Notice on the very first kill (the genuine quest kill) Andariel drops 3 gems in addition to her 6-item drop limit.

They are always 2 Chipped gems and 1 normal grade gem.
