i don't like almost each rule in here, but the 10 fg are juicy so maybe i'll give a try

there's a clear distinction between difficult and unnecessarily time consuming, and your challenge wasn't difficult. just boring because of how long of a drag it is. that is until you get to hell, at which point your shitty gear based on the rules makes it a coin flip depending on what mobs you get. the challenge of this challenge is RNG, and that's always a recipe for disaster.
