Decided to respec traps build to farm normal baal for a while to level and MF a bit before starting nightmare. Of course I will go directly back to martial arts after I finish this MF'ing. It's just a waste of time to wail away on baal for 10 minutes per game and get mana drained and return to town when I could farm him with traps much faster. Here are the results!

During these runs I had roughly 300 mf% with my set(excluding my helm, once I find a 3 socket helm + 3P topaz's its gametime!). As I continue thru nightmare I have angelics rings 2x + angelic armor + angelic amulet on. This set gives like 100 MF%, so im finding even more stuff just progressing instead of MF'ing. its quite fun!

FINALLY found a freaking 4 socket polearm.

i like this, just made an assa once in all the years of playing d2 and i'd love to learn how them work, seems pretty fun! :)

whats ur lvl and dmg? going into nm? or keep lvling in baal?

I am currently at The Horadric Malus quest in nightmare act 1. I leveled at baal in normal until 52. I cleared pretty much every area on the way thru act one. Here are my stats without fade used. Basically I run burst of speed until I see an elite group...Immediatly swap to fade, and use Cloak of Shadows to blind the minions and pick one that straggled away from the group, get my lightning charges and release them a few times. The AoE damage pretty much clears the group except the elite. And as for me and knowing anything about assassins... I don't really haha. i always dabbled with them as a trapper, but never got too far with melee sins. I LOVE it so far. Act 5 was a bit slow in normal due to low damage still, but now im clearing stuff pretty easy. The only thing that gets in my way is Extra Strong/Cursed groups. Heres a peek at my stats with my progression gear set on, not my MF set(350% MF).

guess I should update my skills as well


I have yet to use phoenix strike very much.. the damage seems to lack compared to thunder claws, but it is a synergy so I will max it out for now. I will test it out at max skill level more and decide if I want to stay with this build. So many options in the martial arts tree haha

Get some shadow points, you'll need a tank @ some point and your merc just won't cut it alone unless he has incredible stuff.

A little gift from Rakinushu. Duriel should be much easier with this max cold resist armor!


Always hit those chests while running through places! At least half of the uniques/rares/sets I find come from random little chests!

Andariel Down, Difficult fight, took about 10 minutes, but Venom Ward i found in normal version saves the day. +15% max psn resist.


Went back to my traps spec to MF andariel a bit before moving to act 2. First run = success! Ali BABA sword + 28% nagelring! Unfortunately I have more MF% with angelics set on haha.


Nokozan Relic amulet!
